With TacTiles square adhesive connectors, installing StaticWorx ShadowFX ESD carpet tiles is glue-free and easy. Simply adhere TacTiles to all four corners on the underside of carpet tiles, join the tiles together, and set them on a conductive surface – such as bare metal access panels or our GroundBridge conductive underlayment. And your installation is complete.
TacTiles connectors allow you to install our ESD carpet tiles any time and almost anywhere, including tile, wood or concrete. ShadowFX SDC carpet tiles are also easily lifted and reapplied.
Best of all, because there is no messy adhesive or noxious odor, you can install ShadowFX carpet 24/7 – in occupied spaces with no downtime.
Installed over bare metal access panels, ShadowFX dissipative tiles are grounded upon contact with the metal surface.
To install over non-conductive surfaces, we recommend using our GroundBridge conductive underlayment. As with metal access panels, once the tiles are set your installation is complete.
Bare steel access flooring panels are grounded through the structure of the raised floor installation. The bottom of StaticWorx ESD carpet tiles is 100% static dissipative. Static-dissipative carpet becomes grounded whenever it contacts metal surfaces that are grounded.
Like metal access panels, the GroundBridge underlayment creates a conductive ground plane beneath the tiles. The dissipative backing forges an electrical connection with the conductive underlayment, grounding the tiles as soon as they are set.
The TacTile installation meets ANSI/ESD S20.20-2014 and comes with a lifetime conductivity warranty.
TacTiles contain no liquids, and they have no odor and virtually no VOCs.
Spread Rates: “Full Spread” install (every corner): 125 sy/roll (500 TacTiles per roll)
