Kimberly began her tenure at StaticWorx in January 2020, just a few months before Covid 19 brought the world to a skidding stop. Before arriving at StaticWorx, she’d spent 12 years in the finance industry. Years of business experience, along with an undergrad degree in communications and master’s in education made Kimberly a perfect fit for StaticWorx.

If you’re familiar with our company and culture, you know that our focus is, not on selling ESD flooring, but on educating people on the technical aspects of ESD flooring and helping them choose a floor that’s right for their application and meets their goals and objectives. Patient and easy to talk to, Kimberly stepped into this role naturally and continues to excel.

Kimberly spent the Covid shutdown learning StaticWorx internal processes along with the basics of static control and ESD flooring. When the world finally opened up, she hit the ground running – and as you’ll notice in her interview and video, she’s never stopped since.

Interview with Kimberly Petraccaro

Could you tell us about yourself?

I’m Kimberly Petraccaro. I lead a very active lifestyle.  A Massachusetts native, I took a leap of faith to move to California for my Master’s in Education. After five years in California, a work transfer sent me to sunny South Florida, where I found my home. That’s where I met my incredible husband. Together, we’re raising three fantastic, energetic boys.

Let’s just say, between my career and full house, “downtime” isn’t in my vocabulary! I’m driven, I’m passionate, and I’m ready to tackle any challenge.

What did you do before joining StaticWorx?

After college, I dove headfirst into the fast-paced world of trade settlement, learning the ins and outs of finance from the ground up. Driven to grow, I earned my Master’s and spent a few fulfilling years teaching, where I honed my communication and problem-solving skills.

But the world of finance called me back, and I spent years in hedge fund operations, building a strong foundation and mastering the details. Now, I’m bringing that same work ethic and dedication to the sales arena.

You talk about having a relationship-oriented approach to sales. Could you please describe what you mean by this?

I believe in building lasting relationships, not just closing deals. To me, sales isn’t about one-off transactions: it’s about fostering long-term partnerships. I understand that people change roles, move companies, and share their experiences. I want to be the person my customers trust and come back to, and the person they enthusiastically refer to their network.

How did you come to this philosophy?

I’m a natural people person, and I genuinely enjoy connecting with others and finding ways to help them succeed.

What does being a “relationship builder” mean for you?

Every interaction is an opportunity to strengthen my relationships, expand my network, and create a mutually beneficial, long-term connection.

Do you have any advice for other sales reps?

My advice for fellow sales professionals would be to focus on three key areas: product knowledge, genuine customer understanding, and consistent, strategic effort. Embrace the hustle, but do it strategically. Focus on building a strong pipeline, developing efficient processes, and consistently following up. Analyze your performance, learn from your experiences, and adapt your approach as needed.
