Behind the Scenes With Kyle Baron

Kyle is StaticWorx’s Director of Technical Services. With StaticWorx since 2012, Kyle is experienced and extremely knowledgeable, not only about static control and ESD flooring, but also how to install ESD flooring properly. If you know Kyle, you know that his personality is a wonderful balance of serious and funny. You also know that he’s a subject matter expert, able to answer any question you have on ESD flooring or static control. These are just a few of the many reasons he’s an invaluable part of the StaticWorx team and loved by clients too.

Here are a few things you may not know about Kyle

What is your favorite part of your work for StaticWorx?

I really like helping people determine the best solution to an ESD problem and seeing it in action after the project is complete, even if you can’t actually see it working!

Can you tell us something we don’t know about you?

I am a certified BBQ judge under the KCBS and NBBQA. 

What does this encompass? What do you do?

I took a course in judging competition BBQ (e.g. scoring presentation, technique, taste, texture, etc.) and can sign up to judge professional competitions held by the KCBS (Kansas City BBQ Society) and NBBQA (National BBQ Association).

What do you like to do in your free time? Why?

In my free time I enjoy cooking BBQ, playing a variety of instruments, hiking, and studying anything that interests me. I am currently learning to speak two other languages.

What are the two languages you’re learning?

Japanese + Punjabi.

Ice cream: Chocolate or vanilla?

Chocolate, though I’ll always choose Black Raspberry over both

Food: Simple or spicy?

The spicier, the better!

TV series or movies?

TV series – because you can pack a lot more entertainment into many episodes versus a 2-3 hour movie.

Late nights or early mornings?

Late nights – I am a night owl through and through.

Cats or dogs?

Cats – they’re just cooler  ; )

Beach or mountains?

I live in San Diego, so both! Beach for relaxation, Mountains for enjoying the outdoors.
