StatBond™ Pressure-Sensitive (PS) Conductive Adhesive

StatBond Pressure-Sensitive adhesive enables the most efficient and cost-effective ESD installation labor in the industry.

Installing StatBond Pressure-Sensitive Conductive adhesive

StatBond PS conductive pressure-sensitive adhesive – the latest entry in our line of high-performance conductive adhesives – was developed to fill a void in the ESD flooring industry. Traditionally, wet-set carbon black and dark graphite adhesives have been used to install vinyl and rubber tiles. Wet-set adhesives are troweled on the floor and the tile placed while the adhesive is wet, resulting in slow, messy installations.

When the floor is rolled, these dark wet-adhesives often seep through the seams. To contain the mess, the installer must clean the tiles with solvents and mineral spirits before the adhesive has dried. Once the adhesive has dried, it’s very difficult to remove and can stain the tiles.

StatBond PS can be spread over a large area and allowed to dry before tiles are installed. Because it’s dry, there’s no chance of the adhesive oozing into seams when the floor is rolled. This means no mess, a much faster installation, and quick, easy cleanup.

Tighter Installation

Working on a dry pressure-sensitive adhesive enables the installer to employ the pyramid/step installation method for large areas. This method reduces the possibility of variance and cutbacks common to jobs where the tile was installed in rows. It also helps prevent gaps because the geometry of fitting tiles into a pyramid (instead of linear rows) forces the tiles to fit together tightly.

A gap-free installation yields a cleaner facility – because there are no seams to trap dirt and other contaminates.
